MTV's AMP2
(astralwerks CAR 7558)

1997's MTV's AMP record gave the world a glimpse of the future. 1998's release of MTV's AMP 2 (featuring brand new tracks from Fatboy Slim, Public Enemy and Hardkiss featuring Kool Keith) is not just a glimpse of the future, but a full-on re-definition of the next millenium of music.

While MTV's AMP 2 focuses on the debt that most electronic music owes to hip-hop, it also shows the new wave of forward thinking that electronic music is bringing to today's hip-hop. Electronic music is changing the face of today's music and hip-hop is no exception. In this spirit, the album will feature new and hard-to-find mixes of some of the today's hottest artists as well as some fierce collaborations.
