Over the past five years there has been a steady stream of innovative, independently produced dance music coming out of Paris. Alongside respected French dance labels such as Source, Roulé, Versatile and Solid stands Crydamoure, the label founded by Daft Punk member Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and partner Eric "Rico" Chédeville

Both keen on creating a new label, they launched Crydamoure in 1997 and released their very first 12” entitled "Santa Claus/Holiday On Ice" under their recording alias Le Knight Club. Both big admirers of Chicago House, so they asked Paul Johnson and DJ Sneak along for the next releases. (DJ Sneak is still working with Le Knight Club to this day).

The success of these first singles boosted the label’s reputation significantly and the label’s output has been well received by dance music aficionados ever since. After the release of their 14th 12” single last year, Crydamoure approached Labels/Astralwerks about releasing a singles collection and the result is “Waves”. Here we have all the best tracks on CD for the first time, seamlessly mixed by Guy-Man and Rico, celebrating the first five years of their existence as one of France’s premier dance labels.
