To celebrate the culmination of their 'Idealism 07/08 World Tour", Digitalism announces a digital remix album to be released on December 9. Hands on Idealism features the best remixes of tracks taken from their acclaimed debut album Idealism.

On 4 December 2008 Digitalism will finally be back and ready to rock the legendary “Markthalle” club of their home town Hamburg when they celebrate the final concert of their DIGITALISM / IDEALISM 2007/08 Europe LIVE Tour. The two chaps from Hamburg have not been idling while they were away; in fact, during the past few months they played more than 400 gigs. They have also rocked all of the relevant festivals worldwide and filled the dance floors of the hottest clubs of the various metropolises all over the globe. Now, for the grand finale, Jence and Isi have cooked up some surprises and specials for their long-standing fans and friends.

As a prelude of their next album release fans will now have the unique opportunity to remix the first completed title of the upcoming new Digitalism album release. For this, there will be a Digitalism "Taken Away" Remix Competition starting 17 October 2008 at http://www.myspace.com

1. Download the song parts of the track "Taken Away", the web special track exclusively produced by Digitalism for the Mercedes-Benz GLK (www.mercedes-glk.com), from www.myspace.com/digitalism

2. Load your own remix onto your own myspace profile until 17 November 2008.

3. Send your Myspace profile web link with the indication "I REMIXED TAKEN AWAY" via e-mail to IREMIXEDTAKENAWAY@THEDIGITALISM.COM .

4. Digitalism will announce the winner shortly before their final concert of 4 December 2008.
The best remix of "Taken Away" will be released worldwide through the Digitalism record label (Kitsune/EMI Music) and pressed on CD together with other remixes. For the other participants, there will be further prizes such as tickets for the Hamburg show, stylish T-shirts by H&M and exclusive vinyls.

For the past two years, they have been the go-to men for indie remixes, having reworked Tom Vek, The Cure, The White Stripes, The Klaxons, Cut Copy and The Futureheads, to devastating effect.

Now it is their turn to deliver their full length entitled Idealism on June 19 that displays their rock and electronic influence. The new electro-punk pioneers have arrived. Idealism is loose, heavily distorted, rough grooves and blankly delivered lyrics that have as much in common with The Stooges as it does with the Ministry of Sound.
