July 99. Respect is Burning is about to launch its house crusade abroad by setting up residencies around the world. A marathon that takes us around the world in a Boeing 747, going from one party to another, from Twilo in New York to a club in Chicago. The weekend after, we play Fuse in Brussels, the D! Club in Lausanne, the Vega in Copenhagen...Non-stop. Then we come back to Paris on the Thalys fast train, catch a cab to Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport, have a meal on an Air France flight and a joke with Danish customs.

Weekends that never end. Hardcore nightclubbing. Every Wednesday night, we are back in Paris to do the Secret Party with its weekly disco feel. Vodka Sprite and Bourbon Coke. Then once again we are back with Dimitri on the turntables. Thanks to Respect we traveled all over the world with the Number One Disco Entertainer and we got to know all his mixing tricks and his secret tunes, heard the old anthems coming back to life on his decks. And the magic is still there. It's Monday and we just got back from a transatlantic week-end. The promo mix of "A Night at the Playboy Mansion" is being played over and over again. The sound gets louder on "Give Me Love", we still believe in it as if it were the first Respect party in 1997, or his unbelievable set in 1999 at Liquid in Miami for the Winter Music Conference. Or the last ever Wednesday Respect party.

Dim, in full effect. We know that in a few weeks time we will be in New York, Chicago, Miami and Los Angeles with him. We will end up at the mythical Mansion in Hollywood. Don't even want to guess what the guestlist will be like... And the frenzy around the swimming pool. Don't ring if you don't swing. And when "The Place is Rockin'" is played, we remember why we are party animals. Simply because the mix is a dream come true, adrenalin rising high on the dancefloor and some unbelievable stuff happening backstage. Dimitri rules. Party is life.
