Eno
has a history of seminal collaborations with the original
Roxy Music, then with David Bowie, Talking Heads, U2 and many others.
Always an innovator, his past work has been cited as influential
by musicians as diverse as Radiohead and Public Enemy.
On
DRAWN FROM LIFE, he has taken a characteristically surprising tangent
in the company of the brilliant young German omposer/producer and
drummer J Peter Schwalm. Eno was introduced to Schwalm and his musical
world through his SLOP SHOP 'Makrodelia¹ record and live project
in 1998.
The
musical partnership of Eno and Schwalm came to the world¹s
attention for the first time with their debut record, MUSIC FOR
ONMYO-JI, a very special Japan-only release inspired by the work
of Reiko Okano, " [a] bizarre and rather beautiful project
- strangely modern and vital"(David Elliott, The Wire).
Schwalm¹s
unusual background of conservatory training and jazz influence brings
a warmth and rhythm, which makes DRAWN FROM LIFE and their live
performance both futuristic and human. At this unmissable event,
the live DRAWN FROM LIFE project takes this collaboration even further
with the performance of some new songs, written by Brian Eno for
a future album.
