"A thing of indescribable beauty, no dancefloor is complete without the revving engines of Motorbass."
MUZIK Magazine, 1996

In 1996, even before the massive success of Daft Punk's debut album "Homework", there were two French dance albums, only available as imports, that were on every discerning dance fan's shopping list, Etienne de Crecy's "Superdiscount" and his collaboration with Cassius member Philippe Zdar under the Motorbass alias. "Pansoul" was widely considered the body of work that kick-started an entire wave of French dance artist albums, and even now, is referenced as a "lost" classic.

Now, seven years later, we are proud to release this extremely hard to find, seminal album for the first time in the U.S., not just in its original format, but with the inclusion of a bonus disc featuring an hour's worth of rare, early material including the Mo' Wax E.P. "Transphunk". Not only that, but a 2 x LP vinyl version is also available for completists and DJs. Now fans of the very fertile French dance scene can finally enjoy classic tracks like "Ezio" and "Bad Vibes" at an affordable price and enjoy the Motorbass experience in its entirety.
