THE AVALANCHES ANNOUNCE FIRST EVER NORTH AMERICAN HEADLINE TOUR
The Avalanches will kick off their first ever North American live tour on June 3 at Brooklyn Bowl. The show is part of the Governors Ball After Dark series. The band will perform at the Governors Ball festival the following day, June 4. Tickets for June 3 at Brooklyn Bowl are SOLD OUT. All other shows go on sale Friday, May 5 at 10am.
The Avalanches’ first set at Coachella was hailed as one of the 10 best performances by the Los Angeles Times, which observed, “Not many acts can use Coachella’s gigantic platform to make its debut in the U.S. But that’s just what the Avalanches did when the reclusive Australian outfit…brought its jubilant disco-pop to a tightly packed Mojave tent.”
Since I Left You, The Avalanches’ landmark debut album, is now once again available on vinyl – in a limited edition, blue vinyl double edition, found exclusively in the U.S. at independent retailers, and in a standard double black vinyl edition, available now on Amazon. Released in Australia in 2000 and in the U.S. and the U.K. in 2001, Since I Left You placed in the Top 10 of Pitchfork’s Top 200 Albums of the 2000s and in the Top 20 of Rolling Stone’s Greatest EDM Albums of All Time.
