Gold Fields Announce Tour w/ A Silent Film

Gold Fields’ debut album Black Sun is armed with pop hooks, tribal beats, danceable rhythms, and plenty of emotion. Having already shared stages with acts like Crystal Castles, Metric, St. Lucia and Diamond Rings, fans will have another chance to experience the band’s larger-than-life live show. The Australian quintet will launch a national co-headlining tour with A Silent Film + Royal Teeth which kicks off February 4th in DC in advance of the February 26th release date of ‘Black Sun’. The Australian quintet will make their debut TV appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! performing single ”Dark Again” on February 27th at 11:35/10:35pmCentral on ABC.

The single “Dark Again” is a pop gem flecked with driving guitars and bright synths, all building to a heavy-hitting chorus that’s sure to make you move. The energized album track’s mysterious video features model Shaun Ross who has previously starred in videos with Katy Perry, Kanye West & Beyonce. Check out a behind-the-scenes video for the making of the “Dark Again” video where it premiered exclusively with ELLE. Diamond Rings reinterprets the track with techno-infused synths to highlight the driving tribal beats. Check out the “Dark Again” (Diamond Rings Remix) stream where it premiered with VICE’s Noisey. In return, Gold Fields put their special touch on a Diamond Rings track “Runaway Love” which you can hear where it premiered with NYLON .

Hitting listeners with a power-packed punch from its first note, Black Sun opens with the infectious “Meet My Friends,” a bass and percussion-driven track with haunting vocals echoing in the background. Tracks like “Ice” with its dreamy, swirling layers and the sincere lyrics of “Happy Boy” showcase the band’s vulnerable side. The album also contains “Treehouse” and the electrically-charged “Moves,” which you can watch a live performance of, here.
