BBC 6 Music Fantasy Festival

6 Music with Primal Scream is to stage the finest virtual festival utilising concerts and sessions from the BBC archive. The MC for weekend is lead singer Bobby Gillespie and he has selected all of the acts which he also endorses with comments in the shows during the weekend of Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th January. The festival of music culminates with a live concert specially recorded by 6 Music at the Glasgow Academy as part of Primal Scream’s January UK.

In the run up to the festival, teaser tracks recorded at the concert will be played out in all day time shows in across the preceding week kicking of in Gideon Coe’s Mid Morning programme Monday 19th January and culminating in Phill Jupitus Breakfast Show in Friday 23rd. Primal Scream tickets to their sold out UK tour will also feature in on air competitions.

6 Music is a digital network which can be accessed via DAB radio, online (www.bbc.co.uk/6music), or via Freeview, satellite or cable TV.
