SCANTY SANDWICH - This One
Hot and fresh from the home of Norman Cook's own Southern Fried Records label is a beefy plate of big beats cooked up with a splendid sample from the Knack. This is the first time this track has been made commercially available. THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS - Out Of Control (Sasha Instrumental Mix)
When the Chemical Brothers tapped superstar DJ Sasha to remix "Out Of Control," two mixes were delivered. While the "Sasha Club mix" was released to unanimous praise, Sasha's epic 13 minute "Instrumental Mix" was only pressed as an extremely limited vinyl-only DJ promo. It appears commercially available here for the first time ever. PHOTEK - DNA
Recorded during the Solaris album sessions, "DNA" first made its appearance on the now out-of-print "Terminus" single. This atmospheric soundscape featuring the noise of passenger jets and a mysterious Spanish guitar amidst precision drum programming point to Rupert Parkes' expanding direction beyond his drum'n'bass mastery. BASEMENT
JAXX - Bingo Bango
(David Morales Latin Dub Mix)
Long regarded as one of New York's top DJs, producers and remixers, David Morales provided an arsenal of exclusive US remixes of the "Bingo Bango." Of all the remixes which appeared on the US-only 12" doublepack, the gorgeously deep "Latin Dub" mix ranks among the Basement Jaxx' favorites. This is this track's first time ever appearance on CD. THE BETA BAND - To You Alone
This multi-layered downtempo gem was The Beta Band's first post-debut album track. Released as a now deleted limited edition single, it's a confirming example of why this Scottish combo have been called one the most idiosyncratic inventive bands around. THE FUTURE SOUND OF LONDON - Live In New York
This track originally appeared on the 1994 promotional only double 12" advance sampler for The Future Sound Of London's ISDN album. However, when the album was finally released several months later, this track was not to be found. In fact "Live In New York" has never received a commercial release until now, making it one of the rarest FSOL tracks in existence.
